I hope you are well. We have a few places remaining on tomorrow’s live online course “Soothing Transitions & Separations”. If you have a child, or work with children, navigating transitions such as back to school then this course is for you. During the session we will look at supporting children who find it difficult to leave a parent or carer. It is suitable for parents and carers and also for professionals working with children. It will be particularly beneficial for parents and carers of children who may experience difficulties with transitions and separations and for teachers and ECCE practitioners. As always, this CTC webinar will be facilitated by a highly experienced child and adolescent psychotherapists with a specialisation in play therapy.

During the webinar we will:

· Explore the difference between separation anxiety, anxiety at separating and transition difficulties.
· Look at the experience for the child, the caregiver and the other adults involved, exploring what will help and support all involved to help the child overcome their difficulty.
· Explore how to use play to soothe the anxiety, using games and books therapeutically.
· Consider targeted interventions which can increase security and safety at times of transitions.

The course is designed to equip professionals, and parents and carers, with helpful tools for the children in their care.
