A third year student of ours may have a unique opportunity to present to local school principals and some pretty important TD's next week. She has created a survey to collect some data to support her presentation. If you are a Play Therapist, it would be wonderful if you could take a few minutes to complete it. I see the light in children like embers. The thing with making a fire is how we nourish the embers with attention, oxygen and care. This is what we do with the clients that come to us. There is an opportunity now where we, a collective group of play therapists, can breathe fire into the hearts of policymakers.

I am Wen (also known as Boon Wan Wang-Whelan), a 3rd year CTC student, a mother of a child with additional needs and a PhD neuroscientist. I have stumbled upon a rare opportunity to present to a cohort of my local school principals and politicians about what it is that we do and how it is possible that play can actually help. More importantly, how the children desperately need more support since the pandemic.

I created a quick survey and would like to spread this far and wide to the people in our field. The data will be collected to form a cohesive and unified story that we already know. Children are not coping well and they need support. We can help.

There is an urgency on the data as the platform for me to present is in ten days. If you could spend 3 minutes completing this survey, it would go towards a worthy cause. A cause we as play therapists all want. To give children the opportunity to heal, grow and be the best version of themselves.
