
PhD, is a Chartered Psychologist and Developmental and Therapeutic Play Specialist. She currently holds a British Academy Research Chair where she is leading a £1.2M portfolio of projects aimed at enriching the emotional health and development of children affected by crisis and conflict through play, in the context of humanitarian aid. She has a wide range of practitioner experience and acts as a play consultant and trainer for educational, recreational, and therapeutic service providers. She has spent a number of years researching the role of play in supporting children’s emotional health and development and has published numerous books, book chapters, and journal articles and is widely considered an international expert in the field. Dr. Justine is Subject Lead for our Dissertation Studies.
