About The Training

This live online course explores the importance of sensory play and practical ways to increase engagement in this type of play. It is suitable for parents and carers and also for professionals working with children. The webinar will be facilitated by a highly experienced child and adolescent psychotherapist with a specialisation in play therapy

During this interactive live online course participants will:

  • learn about the senses, and their role in how we access information about our environment.
  • explore what sensory play is.
  • learn about the positive impacts sensory play can have on brain development and regulation.
  • learn how to increase sensory play opportunities in structured and non-structured ways.

This training is suitable for professionals working with children and/or teenagers. It is also suitable for parents and carers of children and/or teenagers, and anyone interested in play and creative therapeutic approaches.

Full fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellations within 14 days of the course. You can nominate another person to attend in your place.

Materials & Resources Needed
  • Access to a computer/device with audio and video
  • Stable internet connection
  • A confidential space
  • Some Breakfast cereal
  • A small selection (2or 3) of different food items you like
  • Water, washing up liquid, a bowl and a straw or a fork
  • Shaving cream and a ziplock bag
  • Paper, some colours and a pen
