- Participants will examine some of the specific hallmarks of endings in child and adolescent psychotherapy and play therapy from the perspective of the client; the therapist and the wider family/network of the child.
- Participants will examine a humanistic and integrative approach to working and being with endings in child and adolescent psychotherapy and play therapy.
- Participants will explore at least 3 creative techniques that can be implemented in child and adolescent psychotherapy and play therapy during the ending phase.
- Participants will examine common occurrences that may appear in clinical reviews with parents/carers and significant adults during the ending phase.
- Participants will examine creative techniques that can support their own process and capacity to engage meaningfully with separation/ending with their clients.
- Participants will explore creative techniques that can be shared with parents and carers during this stage.
The course is designed to equip therapists and other professionals working with children and families with a deeper understanding of the significance of endings, how to work with and within endings and consider how to articulate this.
