Positive Discipline:

A Child Centred Approach to Setting Limits and Boundaries

Live Webinar                                                                   Webinar Fee: €35

 Webinar Dates Below

 Session Time: 19:30pm – 21:00pm

This live online course will look at how we can set limits in a therapeutic way with children. It is suitable for parents and carers and also for professionals working with children. The webinar will be facilitated by a highly experienced child and adolescent psychotherapist with a specialisation in play therapy. During the webinar we will:

  • Explore the purpose of limits.
  • Look at our ideal outcomes regarding discipline/ consequences/ limits.
  • Learn how to set a limit without shaming a child, which will result in most effective communication.
  • Identify how to match redirection with need fulfilment for children.

The course is designed to equip professionals, and parents and carers, with helpful tools for  the children in their care.

Participants are required to have the following tools.

Space and technology:

  • Sound cancelling headset or confidential room to participate in
  • A computer or other suitable device (e.g. i pad), ideally, but not essentially, with built in (or external) microphone, speaker and camera.
  • Uninterrupted internet connection

Note: Please only use one devise during each session – if you have difficulties with sound (microphone or volume) on computer, use of external microphone and/or speakers works better than adding a second devise.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Cancellations: Full fee is non-refundable in the event of cancellations within 5 days of the webinar. You can nominate another person to attend in your place.
